Second Saudi IoT Exhibition kicks off today

RIYADH –

Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah Al-Swaha will launch today (Feb. 13) the activities of the Second Saudi International Exhibition and Conference for Internet of Things (Saudi IoT 2019) under the theme of: “Redefining Communications” and the Cyber Defence Summit, with a broad participation of national, regional and global expertise, including sectors specialized in the areas of technology, communications, digital transformation and cyber security.

The activities of the second edition of the exhibition and the conference will feature a wide variety of Internet technologies provided by specialized local and international companies. The activities will also host speakers, including officials in the public sector, academicians and private sector representatives to present their scientific and practical experiences and scientific research papers that include the latest achievements in the information technology systems and digital signal processing systems.

The three-day activities of the exhibition and the conference, which will be held on the premises of the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center (RICC) for three days, will be attended by 300 local, regional and global companies and more than fifty speakers, who will present the latest achievements in the areas of technology, communications, Internet of Things (IoT) technology, and its applications in various spheres of life, in addition to international and regional companies specialized in information security and defense.

The activities will also include workshops targeting those who seek to develop their skills and take advantage of the prevailing opportunities through the introduction of specialized topics on the development of the IoT solutions. Meanwhile, the live show area will witness the direct use of the new IoT technologies as a main platform that launches and presents the new products, as well as launching the Emerging Corporate Show Initiative that allow companies to showcase their innovations and explore business opportunities.

The second edition of the Saudi International Exhibition and Internet of Things Conference hosts the activities of the Cyber Defense Summit aimed at developing solutions to proactively address the cyber security challenges in the area of protecting the sensitive, important and confidential information of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. — SG
