RIYADH — The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) signed on Wednesday two memoranda of understanding (MoU) with a number of Indian entertainment companies.

According to the MoUs, several Bollywood celebrities will perform in the concerts being held in the Kingdom. This was part of GEA’s efforts to enrich the entertainment sector in the Kingdom and enhance its global identity.

The deals were inked on the sidelines of the Saudi-Indian Forum held in New Delhi on Wednesday during the official state visit of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman to India.

GEA’s Executive Director for IT Ibrahim Al-Muqbil signed the MoUs with Totem Spot FZE to stage entertainment shows in the Kingdom in 2019, and with the entertainment firm BToS Productions to manage concerts for the Bollywood starts as well as for other international musicians performing in the Kingdom in the current year.

The forum, organized by the Saudi Arabian General Authority for Investment (SAGIA) in cooperation with the Saudi Center for Strategic Partnerships, was attended by about 400 Saudi and Indian delegates, including a number of officials and business leaders from the two countries. An exhibition titled “Invest in Saudi Arabia” was also held on the occasion. — SG/SPA
