Shoura to discuss adding new article to Child Protection Law

The Shoura Council will discuss next week a raft of key legislations, including incorporating a new article in the Child Protection Law and amendment of Article 24 of the same law.

The new article was proposed by the committee for social, family and youth affairs. The amendment was recommended by Dr. Nora Al-Musaed, Dr. Mouda Al-Khalaf and Dr. Faisal Al-Fadel.

The Council will discuss reports about the competition and government procurement law, as well as the amendment to some articles of the law of legal residents.

The topics to be discussed by the Council include reports about the General Sport Authority (GSA) and the executive regulations about juvenile homes by the committee for social, family and youth affairs.

It will also listen to the viewpoints of the members of the education committee about the regulations of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Award to honor innovators and talented people.

The Council will discuss the report of the administration and human resources committee on the proposed public sector governance law submitted by former members Dr. Hossam Al-Anqari and Dr. Saad Mareq.

There will also be deliberations on the report of the Special Committee concerning the proposal to amend a number of articles of the judicial system submitted by Dr. Hossam Al-Anqari.
