RIYADH —
Justice Minister Waleed Al-Samaani has launched an electronic system for project management and workflow automation in his ministry.

The system has been launched by the office of programs and initiatives inside the ministry aimed at the management and governance of projects following the best practices.

Muhammad Al-Sheikh, director of the office, demonstrated the system›s objectives and features, which will enable effective management of the ministry›s transformation initiatives under Saudi Vision 2030.

«The new system has been developed according to the best international practices for project management, to support the ministry in planning, implementing, and monitoring its developmental initiatives,» Al-Sheikh said. «It provides decision makers with performance indicators, risk and problem reports, budgets, contracts, and financial flows.”

«The main procedures have been automated, including for example approval requests, change management, problem escalation, risk monitoring, and project closing,» Al-Sheikh added.

The office had earlier held several courses and workshops for project owners and managers, aiming at introducing effective implementation of the system.
