Moscow — Iran is spreading chaos in the region through destruction and bloodshed, Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khalid Bin Salman said here on Wednesday.

Addressing the Moscow Conference on International Security (MCIS), Prince Khalid said, “The Iranian regime continues to feed sectarianism.

“We must choose between the chaos that Iran spreads, and stability, security and development.”

He said Iran was shaking the stability of the region by supporting Hezbollah and the Houthis.

“The Houthis continue to violate Security Council resolutions and the Stockholm agreement,” the minister added.

He stressed that the Kingdom is committed to combating terrorism regionally and internationally.

“We must fight all sources of financing terrorism and strengthen anti-money laundering efforts,” Prince Khalid said.

He said the Kingdom is “witnessing an unprecedented transformation and development to achieve Vision 2030.”

The 8th Moscow Conference on International Security (MCIS) is dedicated to the situation in the Middle East, particularly in Syria and Iraq.

The conference is also addressing issues like countering terrorism and the improvement of arms control systems. — Agencies
