‘All Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia represent their country’

All Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia must act as ambassadors of their country. “Here no one is a Baluchi, Punjabi, Pakhtoon and Sindhi. Our identity is our country,” said Dr. Khursheed Anwar, former chairman of the Doctors’ Forum Taif, at a function to bid farewell to him after his long stint in Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Anwar said treatment and well-being of a patient is the moral, and religious responsibility of a medic. He said more than medicines, good conduct and attitude of a doctor helps in a patient getting better and soon.

The event was presided over by Dr. Pervez Khan, general secretary of the Doctors’ Forum Taif.

Ghulam Muhammad Joyya acted as stage secretary at the event which was hosted by Dr. Pervez Khan, Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Joyya, Dr. Khadim Hussain Sayyal and other office bearers of the Doctors’ Forum.

By general consensus, Dr. Khadim Hussain Sayyal was chosen to replace Dr. Khurshid Anwar as chairman of the forum. Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Joyya presented a souvenir to Dr. Anwar for his unmatched services for the forum and the Pakistani community.

The distinguished guests at the event included doctors Imran Bhatti, Zulfikar, Irshad, Ijaz Khan, Sajjad Ahmad, Naeem Sheikh and Engineer Abdul Basit Khan Badani.
