US ambassador attends iftar promoting youth engagement

RIYADH —
United States Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia John Abizaid joined over 100 Saudi youth who had participated in US-sponsored programs for an iftar dinner to highlight the importance of cultural and educational exchange between the two countries.

The ambassador cited the long history of cooperation between the United States and Saudi Arabia, and he shared his vision for the strong future of the bilateral relationship.

The US Mission to Saudi Arabia develops and implements a wide range of academic and cultural exchange programs, encouraging Americans and Saudis to learn from one another. Hundreds of thousands of Saudis have studied or are studying at colleges and universities across the United States. Thousands more have participated in specially tailored training programs, which have focused on a broad range of topics including entrepreneurship, education, and energy.

Their experiences have enriched and strengthened the US-Saudi bilateral relationship.
