RIYADH — Saudi cities of Onaiza and Riyadh Al-Khubara have received World Health Organization's healthy cities accreditation.

The Kingdom has now five healthy accredited cities — Diriyah, Jalajel, Onaiza, Riyad Al-Khubara and Jumoum.

The two certificates were received in Geneva on Wednesday by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Public Health Dr. Hani Jokhadar.

Jokhadar expressed his thanks to the minister of health for his continued interest in the healthy cities program.

The concept of healthy cities stems from the level of a city or village environment that serves and enhances health. — SPA
