RIYADH — There were a total of 1.13 million companies and establishments in the Kingdom by the end of 2018, according to data issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Investment.

The number of establishments rose by 10 percent by the end of 2018 to 973,800, compared to Q1 2018 when there were 875,700 establishments.

The number of companies rose by 4 percent by the end of 2018 to reach 153,700 compared to 147,700 in Q1 2018.

Riyadh province topped the list with over 330,000, forming 34 percent of the total existing companies and establishments in the Kingdom.

This is followed by Makkah province with 260,000 companies and establishments.
