June 16, 2019

RIYADH — The second international “Women’s Car Accessories” Exhibition was launched at Dhahran International Exhibition Center under the slogan “Your Way is Safe” under the patronage of Prince Saud Bin Naif Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Eastern Province.

The exhibition is being held to mark the first anniversary of a historic decision issued in June 2018 allowing women to drive in Saudi Arabia. It is being attended by more than 100 participants and contributes toward raising women's traffic safety awareness and improving the efficiency of services and products in the automotive sector.

CEO of Najm Dr. Mohammed Al-Sulaiman said the exhibition will contribute toward increasing awareness on safe driving practices within the automotive sector and reducing traffic violations that negatively affect society.

Moreover, driven by its social responsibility, Najm is providing many tips and guidelines that protect women, raise their traffic awareness, help reduce violations that negatively affect their lives, and teach them how to use safety tools inside the vehicle and deal with difficulties that may arise while driving.

The exhibition is also featuring several booths, most notably the General Directorate of Traffic booth, which is providing visitors with a detailed explanation of the traffic system and the mechanism of dealing with traffic accidents in cooperation with Najm in order to facilitate the procedures for accidents, in addition to the Saudi Red Crescent Authority booth, which explains to visitors how to aid those injured while waiting for medical help.

Furthermore, a number of awareness lectures is being organized by automotive experts centered on how to buy and drive cars, and the significance of spreading traffic security and safety.

Najm for Insurance Services is participating as one of the exhibition’s sponsors aiming to form a link between women and government agencies concerned with implementing the historic decision allowing women to drive in Saudi Arabia. — SG
