– Minister of Education Dr. Hamad Al-Asheikh on Monday made an inspection tour of the educational facilities in the southern border regions in Jazan.

The minister’s tour included the Jazan University campus where he was briefed on the progress of the work of the 300-bed university hospital project by the University President Mari Al-Qahtani. He opened the general education exhibition at the university. Al-Asheikh also met university teachers and a number of citizens.

During the visit, the minister reviewed the progress of educational projects, summer programs of schools and state of affairs of schools on the border areas, preparations of schools for the coming academic year, standard of services being offered to the educational sector, difficulties facing the sector and ways to further improve their standard and make available all means to improve their efficiency, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said.

Al-Asheikh also toured the educational exhibition conducted at Sheikh Abdullah Al-Qarawi School in Samta. He also visited classes of vacation courses and laboratories at the school.
