PwC taps into female Saudi talent to strengthen Arabic capabilities

June 24, 2019

RIYADH — PwC’s KSA office last June 12 welcomed 24 Saudi females to start off the Assurance Center of Excellence (ACE) in Al-Khobar. This team is the first fully female team in the firm’s rapidly growing Assurance practice; and the new 24 ladies are part of a larger pool of ACE employees across the region, based in Jordan, Egypt and Oman.

This achievement is a milestone that proves PwC’s commitment to the Kingdom and its local talent as well as its contribution to the progression of women in the workforce. As a firm with deep roots in Saudi, having operated in the Kingdom for over 4 decades, PwC consists of 42% Saudi nationals and 20% females (of which 16% are Saudi).

On this milestone, Omar Mohammed Al Sagga, KSA Assurance Leader & Deputy Country Leader comments: “I am extremely pleased to achieve this milestone at a time when the Kingdom continues to implement Vision 2030. We, as PwC, are committed to support this vision by playing our part in enabling and empowering women to fully participate in the workforce and the economy.”

Michael Orfaly, Middle East ACE Leader, addded: “We are a purpose lead, value driven firm and our diversity & inclusion agenda is key to our strategy. We will continue to invest in the Kingdom, as the Kingdom is transforming through the realization of Vision 2030, and here we are investing in Saudi talent, and in particular Saudi women.” — SG
