JEDDAH —
The Council of Ministers on Tuesday reiterated the position of the Command of the Joint Forces of the Coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen that the Iran-backed Houthi terrorists, who are responsible for the planning and execution of terrorist attacks, must be held accountable in accordance with international laws and conventions.

The weekly session of the Cabinet, chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah, said this in the wake of the continuing terror attacks by Houthi militias targeting Saudi Arabia, the latest of which was the attack on Abha International Airport on Tuesday morning.

Eight Saudis and an Indian national were injured in the attack.

Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and Acting Minister of Media Assam Bin Saad said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency following the session that the Cabinet considered the continuing terrorist attacks on the airport targeting civilians and civilian installations as war crimes.

The Cabinet said the Kingdom will continue its support for Palestinian refugees and reaffirmed that the Palestinian right of return to their homeland was an inalienable one.

It cited Saudi Arabia’s address at the annual Pledging Conference of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) held in New York last week.

“The address emphasized that the right of the Palestinians and their descendants to return to their homeland is an inalienable one which does not expire in time because it is a humanitarian, moral, legal and political right guaranteed by international resolutions,” a statement from the council read.

The Cabinet commended the outcome of the G20 summit held recently in Osaka, Japan, and welcomed the leaders of G20 countries to Saudi Arabia for the next summit to be hosted by it in 2020.
