Media minister receives Russian envoy


JEDDAH — Minister of Media Turki Bin Abdullah Al-Shabanah received Sergey Kozlov, ambassador of Russia, in Jeddah on Tuesday. They reviewed the domains of media cooperation between the two countries and means of supporting and developing them.

Saudi Arabia support for Islamic World lauded:

The Chairman of Islamic Cultural Council for Imams and Mosques, Imam of King Khalid Mosque in the Canary Islands, Sheikh Mohammed Mahmoud Saleh Al-Desouqi, has stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provided great support for the Islamic World and defending its just causes. He said in a statement that the Kingdom and its leadership provided great services to Islam and Muslims, specially its attention to printing the Holy Qur’an at King Fahd Complex in Madinah. Sheikh Al-Desouqi pointed to the Kingdom's efforts to establish Islamic centers and mosques, dispatch imams, educate Muslim children about their religion, and exert great efforts in advocating moderation. He also pointed to the Kingdom's expansion of the Two Holy Mosques and the development of holy sites in Makkah and Madinah.

Al-Jubeir meets with Switzerland minister:

Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir met with Swiss Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Pascale Baeriswyl, at his office in Jeddah on Tuesday. The two sides reviewed close relations existing between the two friendly countries, ways of enhancing them at all levels and in various fields and regional and international developments.

Saudi envoy to Malaysia visits MRI lounge:

Saudi Ambassador to Malaysia, Mahmoud Hussein Qattan, visited the special lounge of Makkah Route Initiative in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday to inspect the progress of the initiative and procedures being implemented to serve Malaysian pilgrims and facilitate their travel to Saudi Arabia. The ambassador met a number of Malaysian pilgrims who expressed their happiness over the initiative.

Saudi envoy meets with Ahle Hadith official:

Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Saeed Al-Malki, received at his office in Islamabad on Tuesday chief of Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith and member of Senate of Pakistan Sajid Mir. During the meeting, the two officials exchanged cordial talks and discussed bilateral relations between the Kingdom and Pakistan and ways of enhancing them in all fields. — SPA
