JEDDAH —
Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman received King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah on Monday. The King hosted a luncheon banquet in honor of his Bahrain counterpart.

During the meeting, they reviewed the latest developments and the challenges facing the region as well as ways to enhance collective security and stability.

King Hamad strongly condemned the sabotage attack on Aramco facilities, calling them serious escalation targeting the security and stability of the region as a whole and of global energy supplies as well, stressing Bahrain’s full stand with the Kingdom against those who are trying to harm its security and stability.

King Salman appreciated the Bahrain Monarch for his sincere fraternal feelings, which reaffirm the depth of relations between the two countries and peoples, pointing out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is able to deal with the effects of this cowardly sabotage, that targeted the Kingdom and the stability of global energy supplies.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency following the meeting, King Hamad confirmed that his meeting with King Salman was to discuss the latest developments in the region and challenges facing it, as a continuation of coordination and consultation for the betterment of the two countries and people as well as for the good of other countries and peoples.

King Hamad congratulated King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman on the occasion of the National Day, wishing the Kingdom and its people more security, progress and prosperity under their wise leadership.

“On this occasion, we reiterate Bahrain’s solidarity and full supportive stance with Saudi Arabia in confronting any attempt to affect its security and stability, and Bahrain’s absolute support for all steps and measures it takes to protect its institutions and defend its interests and maintain the safety of its citizens and expatriates on its territory,” he said.

He reiterated Bahrain’s condemnation and denunciation of the sabotage aggression, which targeted two Aramco plants in Abqaiq and Khurais aimed to destabilize the security, stability and peace in the region.

“We also reiterate that the Kingdom of Bahrain permanently stands in the same rank and trench with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia emanating from its belief in the shared goal and destination, and that Saudi Arabia’s security is inseparable part of Bahrain’s security,” he said.

He reaffirmed that Saudi Arabia is the key pillar of the region’s security and stability and its safety valve in confronting the risks and threats to which it is subjected.

“At the same time, Bahrain values Saudi Arabia’s pivotal role in fighting terrorism and boosting regional and international security and stability.”

According to King Hamad, the targeting of two Aramco plants in Abqaiq and Khurais by means of Iranian weapons was not an attack on Saudi Arabia alone but on the whole world through targeting of energy supplies to international markets.

“We supplicate unto Allah Almighty to preserve the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its people and perpetuate its security, safety and prosperity to continue the growth, progress, and development march under the leadership of King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman,” he added.
