France to host ‘AlUla, Saudi Arabia's Wonder’ exhibition next Wednesday

PARIS — France is scheduled to host the exhibition entitled "AlUla, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Wonder" at the headquarters of the Arab World Institute here on Wednesday, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said.

President of the Arab World Institute and former French Minister of Culture Jack Lang said in a press conference that the exhibition aims to introduce the governorate of AlUla, its beauty and unique natural and archeological resources.

He added: "In partnership with the Kingdom, the exhibition will allow visitors to discover the beauty of AlUla area and its natural diversity, and learn about its history and civilizations witnessed for over 7,000 years through artistic works, paintings and archaeological sculptures."

He hailed the efforts being exerted by the Royal Commission for the Governorate of AlUla and the dynamism they are displaying in order to introduce AlUla to the world.

Lang lauded the close relations between the Kingdom and France at all levels, especially in the cultural field, which contribute to holding several cultural exhibitions in Jeddah and the capital, Riyadh, while praising the Kingdom's decision to open its doors to tourists from around the world and launch the e-tourist visa.

Lang also said that the exhibition "AlUla, Kingdom's Wonder" will allow tourists to discover the cultural, tourist and historical richness being enjoyed by the Kingdom.

He expressed deep thanks and appreciation to the leadership of the Kingdom for its keenness and efforts made in this regard.

Lang stated, "We are witnesses to the real changes the Kingdom is experiencing in many areas, including the empowerment of women, and the support and development of national talents in the cultural fields with all their outputs." — SPA
