King Salman approves US military deployment

RIYADH - An official source at the Ministry of Defense stated that in implementation of directives by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the Supreme Commander of all military forces, and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, and based on the historical relations and the established partnership between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America, it has been decided to receive additional reinforcements of troops and defense equipment within the framework of the joint work between the Kingdom and the United States of America to maintain regional security and face any attempts that threaten stability in the region and the global economy.

The source added that the United States joins the Saudi government in maintaining regional security and refuses to allow it to be undermined it in any way and that the Kingdom considers the military partnership with the United States of America a historic extension of strategic relations and agreement of objectives to ensure international peace and security. -SPA
