RIYADH –
Princess Sama Bint Faisal Bin Abdullah, member of the Board of Directors of the World (Scouts) Friendship Fund, has stressed the importance of the Scouts Education Workshop for boys and girls. She said the workshops seeks to attain the goal of empowering women and to provide equal opportunities to both genders, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Sunday.

She hoped that the workshop will achieve its desired goals; the most important being presenting best strategies, projects and experiences that include female scouts’ participation, laying down plans for future work, scouts and the targets of sustainable development, and priorities of merging and empowering women.

In a statement to SPA at the conclusion of the Scouts Education Workshop, which was attended by members from the World and Arab Scouts Organization and leading scouts figures and guides from 14 associations from different parts of the world, Princess Sama said that the number of working hours in the project exceeded 1.4 billion since its launch. This was achieved via 6,357,123 initiatives to serve societies all over the world.

She lauded the assistance being provided to the project by the Kingdom to enable it to achieve its goals and to make scouts more beneficial and effective.
