Saudi Gazette report

RIYADH —
An epic weekend of rap and reggae will get Saudi Arabia rocking as the Diriyah Music Festival lines up more superstar names, and a sensational starting price of only for SR495 to attend both nights on general admission.

On Nov. 30, US rap star Lil Wayne will take to the stage at the Diriyah Circuit, bringing with him a back catalogue of megahits including songs such as Scared of the Dark, Love Me and Mona Lisa. Lil Wayne has sold more than 120 million records worldwide, including more than 15 million albums and 37 million digital tracks in the United States, making him one of the best-selling artists of all time.

And on the same night, support act and fellow rapper Tyga (an acronym of Thank You God Always), who has collaborated previously with Lil Wayne, will bring hits such as Can’t Help But Wait, About You and Taste to the Saudi crowds.

Completing the rap lineup will be performer and record producer Future, responsible for multiple gold selling hits such as Turn On The Lights, Jumpman and Low Life.

UK dance DJ Scott Forshaw will open the evening, as he will the night before on Nov. 29.

And on Nov. 29, Saudi Arabia will welcome back ‘Mr Worldwide’ himself as Pitbull headlines the stage. It will be Pitbull’s second visit to Saudi Arabia this year, and the American rapper, responsible for hits such as Taxi, Timber, On The Floor and Give Me Everything, will be joined on stage in the UNESCO World Heritage site on the outskirts of Riyadh by Jamaican reggae legend Shaggy (It Wasn’t Me, Mr Boombastic) and Puerto Rican reggaeton singer Don Omar, whose hits include Bandaleros featured in the movie The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.

Offering extra-ordinary value, fans wanting double the fun and a full weekend of incredible music entertainment can secure tickets to both nights, the 29th and 30th, with a bundle ticket for only SR495.

The Diriyah Music Festival is an electrifying series of concerts designed to complement the sporting events of the Diriyah Season. News that global megaband Imagine Dragons (Believer, Thunder, and Whatever It Takes) will kick off the festival by performing after day one of the Diriyah E-Prix on Nov. 22, supported DJ Alan Walker (Faded) and UK dance band Clean Bandit (Rockabye) caused a sensation among fans in the Kingdom. On Nov. 23, Latin American music giant Maluma will follow day two of the Formula E racing, supported by Lebanese Canadian R&B/pop singer Massari.

Standalone and bundle tickets for the Nov. 30 featuring Lil Wayne and Tyga and Future and the Nov. 29 concert featuring Pitbull, Shaggy and Don Omar (with DJ Scott Forshaw across both nights) are on sale at www.diriyahseason.sa.
