RIYADH
– The Saudi Cycling Federation and Kayan Society for the Care of Orphans have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) allowing the orphans to participate in the federation’s competitions and activities.

On behalf of the cycling federation, the MoU was signed by its board member Reem Al-Arfaj and the society’s chairwoman Samha Al-Ghamdi, a Saudi Press Agency report said.

The MoU comes as part of the initiatives to enhance social responsibility in the federation, as it will grant its personnel and the inmates in the society the right to take part in the open competitions listed in the federation’s schedule.

In addition, some personnel of the society will be granted free membership in the Saudi Cycling Federation, aside from the invitation to all the kids of the society to attend the UCI cycling tour in Saudi Arabia, scheduled for Riyadh in February 2020.

Reem Al-Arfaj asserted that the MoU aims to activate the participation of all the sons of the society in cycling. In this regard, the terms of the agreement with Kayan Society will be developed to make it one of the permanent success partners in the federation, apart from making special programs for the society’s kids to get acquainted with the importance of the sport of cycling.
