DHAHRAN — The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) is preparing to welcome the global group, Pixel, for the first time in the Kingdom on Dec. 13–14.

The band will present a mixture of dances, with lights and digital technology that strike a new artistic genre; offering a performance that dances between energy and poetic movement, a virtual dimension and technical effects. Ithra welcomes families to attend, starting age of 8 years old.

Majid Z. Samman, director of performing arts, at the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) stated, "This event comes within the framework of Ithra, which is aimed at dedicating points of union and building bridges of cultural exchange and civilized communication between the Kingdom and the world. Pixel, a group that has held many successful shows in more than 30 countries; is performing on our stage in Dhahran.”

He added, "The center is keen to bring the best of global culture to the nation's home audience, which contributes to celebrating human experiences of art and culture and presenting them in an impressive way for public."

Pixel presents an art that combines hip-hop dance with 3D digital accommodations that harmonizes with the dancers’ movements. Lighting and digital effects merge reality with virtual energy, creating a rhythmical and imaginative performance.

The dancers’ spectacular movements against the digital mimicking background changes with their maneuvers; the ground screen projections shift under their dancing feet and a wave rises from the ground, while a snowstorm swarms around them on the stage, creating a crescendo of memorizing, moving art.

Pixel offers an exclusive dance performance that results in incredible choreography and imagery, offering a glimpse into exciting possibilities at the edge of the virtual world.

This modernized performance art at Ithra highlights the role of Ithra at bringing the best of international performances to the audience of Saudi Arabia.

Setting new and unique standards that contribute to culture and creativity in the nation is the vision set by the center; Ithra continues to provide performances in diverse cultures and arts, in addition to creating partnerships and strategic relationships with experts and experienced professionals from around the world in the cultural, cognitive, and artistic fields. — SG
