JEDDAH — Hundreds of people, representing all segments of the Jeddah expatriate community — especially families and children, shared their incredible experience of visiting the week-long exhibition that delves deep into the moral values and vast ocean of knowledge represented by Islam.

The exhibition, which aims to present the true image of Islam while also removing misgivings about it, is so impressive that it provides the impression that the divine religion is a panacea for myriad ills and problems facing the mankind in the modern world, some of the visitors told Saudi Gazette.

The expo titled “Insight Islamic Exhibition,” with the theme of “Pay attention to the Creator,” being held at Airline Impala Garden, Sharafiyya, runs through from Jan. 10 till 17. It is organized by the Jeddah Dawa Coordination Committee (JDCC), an affiliate of the India-based Wisdom Global Organization.

Sheikh Abdurahman Bin Abdullah El-Eidan, a prominent Saudi scholar and former head of the religious affairs department, inaugurated the exhibition at a colorful ceremony held last Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, he underscored the significance of organizing such an event aimed at making aware the sublime values and lofty ideals of Islam among the expatriate community.

Abdul Ghafour Poongadan, vice president of JDCC, presided over the function in which Organizing Committee Chairman Muhammad Riyas of King Abdulaziz University briefed all on the program.

JDCC President Suneer Pulikkal, General Secretary Faisal Vazhakkad, Treasurer Hussein Jamal, and Joint Secretary Jamal Vazhakkad were among the organizers of the event.

Hafis Muhammad Iqbal, general convener of Insight Exhibition, told Saudi Gazette that for the first time Indian expatriates are holding an Islamic exhibition in such an extensive manner in the Gulf.

“This was the fruitful outcome of two years of meticulous planning, deliberations and strenuous efforts following the example of the Salvation Exhibition held in Kerala a few years ago. There are separate stalls focusing on the miracles of Qur’an and the scientific discoveries made by Muslim scholars and scientists after getting inspired from the verses of the Holy Scripture,” he said, adding that a special pavilion introducing the Saudi culture, customs and traditions has also arranged.

The exhibition leads the visitors to an amazing world of knowledge with its thought provoking and exciting ingredients arranged in an elegant ambiance by making use of the highly advanced devices of information technology, and thus giving an impressive visual effect.

It takes the visitors to the clear-cut solutions to the most pressing challenges and issues of the humanity through unveiling fundamental tenets of the divine religion with the support of graphics and images arranged in the finest manner.

It is an amazing experience for the expatriates in Jeddah at such a unique exhibition that presented to them the beauty, depth and sublime spirituality of the religion of Islam and the supreme powers of the Creator.

The expo, featuring message pavilion; slides that give deep insight into the lofty values; and impressive audiovisual presentation and models, displays vast treasures and new horizons of knowledge to visitors, is a must-see for all.

The exhibits include slides that tell the story of a human being from their conception in their mother’s womb till the moment of taking them to the cemetery and the phases of the life after death, while also giving a comprehensive idea about the goals to gain success in this life and hereafter.

The exhibition narrates e minute details of the human body and its organs and biological mechanism, especially about the amazing functions and ingredients of heart, brain, eye, fingerprints, DNA and the like.

It invokes a strong message that every human being will be accountable for his words and deeds and that only virtues will be the lone companion of a human being after his death.

The dos and don’ts as per the Holy Scripture; return to the pure natural religion of Islam; helping the poor and needy; promoting virtues and prevention of vice; shedding all impurities represented by polytheism, superstitions, immoralities, corrupt practices and exploitations were highlighted through impressive slides displayed in a highly professional manner.

There are special visiting time-slots for school students, bachelors and families from morning up to midnight. Counseling centers supervised by experts, classes by motivational speakers, debates, seminars, Islamic lectures, general and Islamic knowledge quizzes, painting competition for school children, family meet for elders, and health classes are being held as part of the exhibition.
