RIYADH — The Quality of Life Vision Realization Program is working to organize annual quality of life conference as part of building strategic indexes approved by the United Nations.

This was announced by Mazrou Al-Mazrou, spokesman of the program at an event at the King Abdulaziz Public Library here on Monday.

During the meeting, Al-Mazrou gave insights into the Quality of Life Program and its relations to the National Transformation Program 2020 and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

He reviewed the vital areas of life, explaining that the recreation and entertainment sector is available to all citizens and expatriates. He noted that the Program supervises 119 initiatives in the recreation sector and that covers cultural, sport, entertainment and tourism initiatives.

“There are 13 programs that aims at changing and developing lifestyles and the programs rely on financing and associating with other sectors. There will be initiatives in various regions of the Kingdom,” he said revealing that a number of activities and programs have already been organized.

These included diversification of entertainment with a total of 377 different programs and activities, and there has been an increase in the index of spending by families on entertainment, while the percentage of participating trademarks exceeded 60, and the number of participating restaurants reached more than 43,000.

Al-Mazrou said the Quality of Life Program has multiple goals, including: enriching the local entertainment scene, building media cities, and taking care of films.

It is noteworthy that program aims to improve individuals’ lifestyles by developing an ecosystem to support and create new options that boost citizens’ and residents’ participation in cultural, environment, and sports activities.

This is in addition to other suitable activities that contribute to enhancing the quality of life of individuals and families, creating jobs, diversifying economic activity, and raising the status of cities so that they rank among the best cities in the world.
