National Show Jumping Competition to be held in Jeddah

Under the supervision of the Saudi Equestrian Federation, Trio Ranch will be hosting the 13th National Show Jumping Competition on Feb. 7 and 8, with the participation of over 30 male and female competitors and 50 horses.

This event will be fun filled, with exhilarating competition, which promises to bring with it a fantastic atmosphere for the spectators.

The competitors battling it out for the winning place will have to face fierce competition at the highest of levels, against riders who train ruthlessly to maintain the best possible results.

Top prize, in 5 classes, is up for grabs to the competitor who makes their way to the top of the ranks by completing the courses with the utmost precision and best possible times.

Dr. Mahfouz Bin Talib, head of the technical committee in the Saudi Equestrian Federation, commented, “The tournament provides an opportunity to participate for both amateurs and professionals and supports beginners to enter a new and exciting equestrian experience that prepares them to compete locally and internationally."

He explained, that both members and non-members of the Saudi Equestrian Federation can take part in this prestigious event.

Arwa Mutabagani, the owner of Trio Ranch Country Club and organizer of the show, thanked the Saudi Equestrian Federation headed by Prince Abdullah Bin Fahd Bin Abdullah for their continued support.

Trio Ranch provides a safe environment for both beginners and experienced riders to grow in the sport. With the help of international experts Antonio Moruzzo and Peta-Ann Davies instructing and encouraging their pupils to achieve great things, making the competitors feel comfortable and capable of competing on a global scale.

She added, "There will be many events during the championship days, most important of which is coaching for both amateurs, children and professionals by Davies from Zimbabwe and the Italian International Coach Antonio Moruzzo, to encourage young and new generations to practice equestrian sport, in line with the goals of the ‘Vision 2030’.”

The Trio Ranch has made a comeback with developed and modernized infrastructure, in line with international standards of safety and a series of equestrian tournaments that will continue until next April, and training courses for equestrian enthusiasts of all ages, whether beginners or advanced stages, at the hands of world-class equestrian champions and specialists.

Trio Ranch is considered one of the leading centers promoting equestrian sports, with a well built reputation over the last 30 years, producing Olympic Standard riders since its establishment in the Kingdom in 1990.

Trio boasts the grooming of Dalma Mahlas, who began her career at Trio Ranch from the age of 4.5 years old! She went on to represent the Kingdom on an international platform, her best achievement yet being the first Saudi woman to obtain a medal in the Olympics. Dalma did the Kingdom proud when she received a bronze at the Olympics.
