RIYADH — The Ministry of Health said that the two Indian sisters who came to the Kingdom through King Fahd International Airport, Dammam, have been quarantined and are currently under observation.

The ministry said that there is no cause for worry about their condition, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The ministry said in a statement on Thursday that the two sisters left China on Jan. 12 for India and stayed in India for nearly 21 days, which is more than the incubation period of the virus and during that period they did not have any signs of sickness.

It also noted that they were not in Wuhan, the epicenter of Coronavirus while they were in China.

The ministry emphasized that their entry into the Kingdom, which was recorded on Feb. 3, was after staying outside China for more than 15 days, and this shows that their entry was in a legal way, in view of the fact that the Kingdom had banned the entry of those coming from China since 15 days ago.

The epidemiological team under the ministry headed to the family home of the sisters immediately after their arrival and took samples for laboratory test of which results are awaited.
