Your phone is now your room key at Jabal Omar Hyatt Regency Makkah

February 13, 2020

MAKKAH — A unique service has been implemented in Jabal Omar Hyatt Regency here that allows the guests to check-in online, skip the front desk and access their rooms directly using their smartphone.

The hotel has implemented a Mobile Entry service to provide guests with unique hospitality experience, blending comfort and convenience in an elegant atmosphere.

Mobile Entry is a World of Hyatt app feature that generates a digital key that can be used to unlock the door to a guest room and other common areas accessible to guests. Mobile Entry can be used in conjunction with, but is not dependent upon, Online Check-In to deliver a "Straight-to-Room" experience.

A Mobile Entry key is actually more secure than a physical key card. First, there is a two-step authorization process for any guest obtaining a key for the first time. In addition, because a Mobile Entry key is protected by mobile device security, it cannot be used by someone else like a key card can be if lost.

Jabal Omar Hyatt Regency Makkah, a luxury full-service property located in the heart of Makkah, experiences a high number of arrivals and departures at the same time, especially during Ramadan and Haj, and it always seeks to improve its check-in and check-out procedures to guarantee best service to its guests.

With Hyatt Mobile Entry, a room key is sent right to the guest's smartphone so they can skip the line at check-in. This feature, which provides guests with the convenience of quickly accessing rooms without the need for key cards, is now live at Jabal Omar Hyatt Regency Makkah. — SG
