ANKARA — The Saudi embassy in Turkey urged Saudi citizens to postpone their unnecessary travel plans to Turkey in the wake of reports about growing number of novel Coronavirus cases in the country.

It also called on the Turkish authorities to take necessary precautionary measures with regard to passengers, especially those coming from regions hit by the epidemic.

“The embassy wishes that those Saudis who are present in Turkey would take precautionary measures and stay away from crowded places and follow the regulations announced by the Ministry of Health to prevent the spread of the disease.

“The citizens are urged to follow the warnings issued by the embassy through various officials channels and not hesitate to contact with the embassy or consulate seeking assistance if it is needed,” the embassy said in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency.
