JEDDAH — In line with its community engagement efforts, the Red Sea Mall is constantly striving to bring added value initiatives aiming to develop the local community.

Among the activities of the mall and in cooperation with the group "Ala Mazaji", Productive Families participated under the theme #RedSeaCares for the fourth year in a row, in this unique community building event.

The activity gave families an opportunity to present and pitch their products to the mall's visitors and sell their offerings.

In collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jeddah, Red Sea Mall launched this initiative for the first time in February 2016 in order to enhance the importance of handcraft and advance development.

Each year, the mall rolls out the "Productive Families" event in a different fun format, believing in the continuity of these valuable projects that steer the welfare of families and opening new horizons to the participants.

Al Rayyan Gadouri, general manager of Red Sea Mall, expressed his satisfaction over the success of this pioneering initiative, saying that: "All participating families have been followed and supported over the past years, and efforts produced to prepare a program that contributes to supporting productive families, have had a substantial positive impact on community members.

“Many families have proved worthy to become the nucleus of a future business venture within the system of small and medium enterprises that are the focus of the National Transformation Program 2020. We encourage everyone to take part in this initiative and wish them success.”

This RSM led initiative provided the opportunity for each family to exhibit their products for a period of 3 days. The event has witnessed huge feedback and overwhelming demand from productive families in Jeddah to take part in it.

During the activity, many products were displayed, which varied between healthy foods and foods, sweets, drinks, gifts, accessories, paintings, handicrafts, perfumes, soaps, clothes and abayas.

The Productive Families thanked the management of the Red Sea Mall, for this valuable opportunity that enabled them to prove their skills, provided them with the ideal setting to display their products, get to know the consumers and interact with them directly, producing a great impact in raising the financial return expected from such projects. — SG
