RIYADH — Saudi General Authority for Statistics (GaStat) suspended the actual enumeration of the ‘Saudi Census 2020’ until further notice due to coronavirus concerns, Saudi Press agency (SPA) reported on Friday.

GaStat said that the suspension comes in accordance with the preventive and precautionary measures recommended by the competent health authorities in the Kingdom, as part of its efforts to control the coronavirus and prevent its spread.

GaStat added that the decision is based on the authority’s concern for the health of families and workers in the field including employees and collaborators, and ensuring their safety. — SG
