Kuwait announces 13 new coronavirus cases

KUWAIT CITY —
Thirteen new cases of coronavirus were reported in Kuwait during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 208, Kuwait News Agency reported on Thursday citing a statement made by the health ministry spokesman.

During a daily press briefing, the spokesman said that out of the 13 new cases, six, all citizens, are related to travel outside the country. The had arrived in the country recently from Saudi Arabia, Egypt and France.

The other seven cases are for people who were in contact with the previously infected people, the spokesman added.

He also said that out of the total 208 cases, 49 of them have completely recovered. And among the remaining 159 cases who are receiving treatment and care, seven of them are in intensive care unit.

The spokesman also urged citizens and residents on behalf of the ministry to follow instructions and guidelines issued by the authorities.
