UAE reports 41 new coronavirus cases, two more deaths

ABU DHABI — Two more people have died from coronavirus in the last 24 hours in the United Arab Emirates, taking the total number of deaths to five in the country, according to the health ministry.

During a press conference here, Dr. Farida Al Hosani, the official spokesperson for the UAE health sector, announced 41 new coronavirus cases, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 611.

Except two who are in critical condition and in intensive care unit, others are in stable condition.

Meanwhile, three more patients — two Indians and one Filipino — have recovered, the report added.

Al Hosani also said that one of the patients, announced earlier, had infected 36 others.
