Makkah Clock Royal Tower lights up with coronavirus solidarity message

MAKKAH — Makkah Clock Royal Tower, recently lit up with in support of its staff and medical professionals who are working to combat coronavirus pandemic as part of an initiative to honor national heroes for their efforts in protecting the nation from the outbreak of the pandemic

The world’s tallest clock tower beamed the solidarity message “Home Heroes” for 30 minutes for the first time since its opening.

The initiative was launched by Accor Hotels Makkah — Raffles Makkah Palace, Swissotel Makkah, and Swissotel Al-Maqam Makkah, and the Makkah Clock Royal Tower, A Fairmont Hotel.

It was one of the many other initiatives others launched by the hospitality group in supporting the medical team who work tirelessly during this period.

Believing in combining all efforts toward containing all health hazards, the group, and in collaboration with one of the hospitals in Makkah, delivered complimentary meals to the medical staff working there as a token of gratitude and appreciation. The group also distributed a number of masks and sterilizers to citizens in Makkah, as part of serving the local community and backing the Kingdom’s efforts in maintaining the health security of the citizens and the residents.

Elaborating on the intuitive, Faisal Abdallah, The Group Director of Communication and PR said: ‘’ Embracing the solidarity momentum, we launched this initiative, the first of its kind in Makkah by lighting up Makkah Clock Royal Tower, A Fairmont Hotel with Home Heroes empathizing with every member of our community who all on their way contend the new pandemic. We are standing side by side with all government’s efforts in facing the new health hazards and preserving the health of citizens and residents, asking the Almighty to protect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, citizens and residents”. — SG
