DUBAI — Garena Free Fire, the most downloaded mobile game in 2019, has introduced new game modes, a K-POP character and gameplay optimizations aimed at enhancing the overall gaming experience through its OB 21 patch update today.

The much-requested ‘Clash Squad’ Ranked Mode and a new game mode called ‘Kill Confirmed’ have been introduced through this latest update.

In the Clash Squad game mode, there will be only 2 teams consisting of 4 players each and will have a different ranking system compared to the regular battle royale mode. Players can gain access to aim-lock-hindering smoke grenades in this game mode.

The ‘Kill Confirmed’ game mode will see players, in a group of four, eliminating the opposition team to collect the dog tags dropped to acquire points and the team with the highest points wins the match.

Garena Free Fire has also introduced a new character named Kapella Kim, a K-POP group lead singer, to its existing roster of unlockable characters. She brings with her a funky-looking pet that complements her Healing Touch skill. This adds another layer of customization to the game that players can experiment with.

The patch also features a weapon rebalancing update which revolves around the SMG family and its newest member, the Thompson, requiring a different strategic approach to win games.

Garena Free Fire has also launched the Wonderland event to mark the update giving an opportunity for players to win a wide-range of prizes through a series of mini-events. The event starts today and will run up to April 26 rewarding players with diamond royale vouchers from the get-go for simply pre-registering before the launch and logging in after.

Players can collect exclusive Bunny Wonderland sets that include fashion skin, gun skin, surfboard, parachute, backpack, and many other prizes.
