HODEIDAH — The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) on Saturday continued the implementation of the water and environmental sanitation project to preserve the lives of people of Hodeidah.

From April 10-15, 258,000 liters of drinking water were pumped into the tanks, and 284,000 liters of non-drinking water into separate tanks. The center transferred waste from camps, continued maintenance of tanks and bathrooms, implemented spraying campaigns to combat disease vectors, which benefited 4,614 individuals.

This ongoing effort comes within the framework of humanitarian efforts provided by the Kingdom, represented by the center, for Yemeni people to improve their living conditions during the current humanitarian crisis.

In Hajjah, KSrelief continued here last week the implementation of the water supply and environmental sanitation project.

During the period from April 10-16, 104,000 liters of non-drinking-water were pumped into the tanks, and 70,000 liters of drinking water were pumped into separate tanks, benefiting 5,600 individuals.

In addition, the Al-Jada Health Center provided treatment services to beneficiaries in Jadah, Hajjah.

The services were supported by KSrelief in partnership with the Taiba Foundation for Development. During April 9-15, 2020, the clinics received, in all departments, more than 2,741 beneficiaries.

KSrelief distributes food baskets

to the needy people in Jordan

In Amman, KSrelief continued distributing food baskets to needy families in Jordan, in coordination with the Jordanian Charitable Organization and relevant government agencies.

Seven hundred and nineteen food baskets, weighing 53 tons and 200 kilograms, were distributed Friday in the governorates of Mafraq, Balqa and Zarqa, benefiting the neediest families among Jordanians, Palestinians, and Syrian refugees.

This ongoing relief work comes as an extension of the Kingdom humanitarian efforts, represented by the center, to help the needy people in Jordan during the coronavirus pandemic crisis. — SPA
