The Saudi National Day was celebrated very grandly at Hala International School in Jeddah recently.
The kindergarten and junior students created the Saudi flag using thumbprints and the senior students painted large banners based on the culture and traditions of the country, displayed on the stage and ground.
The staff and students of both boys and girls’ sections, dressed in traditional Saudi clothes, participated wholeheartedly and enthusiastically. The school was decorated in green and white flags and buntings, and banners fluttered in the air, giving the entire premises a festive air. A special assembly was conducted and the Saudi national flag was hoisted by the school principal Tanveer Tariq followed by the national anthem and traditional dance performances by the students. Later, “Qahwa” was served along with the accompaniments and a cake was cut.
The students enjoyed themselves immensely at the party that followed. — Courtesy photos
