EMKAN Education has entered into a strategic partnership with Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), the world’s largest provider of international education programs for 5-19 year old, to improve professional practice and enhance student learning.
The partnership comes in line with Saudi Vision 2030 which calls for concerted cooperation between government agencies and stakeholders to effect a greater impact of educational policy on the classroom.
The partnership, which aims to introduce all CIE examinations in the Kingdom’s schools and support the development of its schools through the adoption of best global practices and quality standards, also entails the provision of professional training for teachers through the Professional Development Qualifications (PDQ).
According to Emkan Education Co-founder and CEO Dr. Monera Jamjoom, educational services, whether in terms of consultation, educational content, technologies, or training, are “the future”.
“Schools are in increasing need of local companies that provide, through Saudis, premium educational services meeting global standards. That is the ideal way to proceed with the development of schools,” Jamjoom said.
“Emkan aims to be the educational arm that reaches across the gap between educational policies and the reality experienced by schools, classes, teachers and students. We aim to be the partner that works with the government, schools, teachers and students.”
“We are proud to be a small and medium-sized enterprise run by over 15 young men and women. Despite small, our team is capable of doing double the amount of work pulled off by larger companies. We are passionate and dedicated and share the same goal,” she noted.
Cambridge International Examinations prepares school students for life, helping them develop an informed curiosity and a lasting passion for learning. It is part of Cambridge Assessment, a department of the University of Cambridge. It offers Cambridge curricula in over 100 private schools Kingdom-wide.
Emkan Education is an education advisory and school development company based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
