THE all-new BMW X4 M40i has joined the ranks of high-performance sporty automobiles at BMW Group showrooms across the Middle East. The new BMW M GmbH model is a premium crossover that brings together the capabilities of performance and sports utility automobiles to deliver excellent driving dynamics, instinctive responses and a premium look. The debut vehicle for the newly developed M performance TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder petrol engine, the BMW X4 M40i balances style and substance to offer an innovative automobile.
The vehicle can accelerate in from 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds and can reach a top speed of 250 km (electronically limited) thanks to the newly developed M performance TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder petrol engine, which delivers 265 kW/360 hp at between 5,800 and 6,000 rpm from its three-litre capacity and provide a maximum torque of 465 Nm.
The BMW X4 M40i guarantees an even greater driving experience with an enhanced suspension system, specially-tuned chassis and the BMW xDrive four wheel drive system. With stronger springs and stabilisers as well as adaptive dampers tuned to M performance specifications, the model contains a robust suspension system that buffers the car from shock, bumps and vibrations, which in turn contributes to safety, comfort and ride quality. In tandem, the BMW xDrive with its rear wheel-drive characteristics including Performance Control, ensure a neutral self-steering response as well as a reduced roll tendency, facilitating a safe and optimum drive.
The decorative panels on the dashboard and exclusive colour accents as well as the side mirrors finished in metallic Ferric Grey enhance the sleekness of its appearance. Meanwhile the 20-inch M light alloy double-spoke wheels with optional Ultra High Performance tyre mix, sports exhaust system with valve control and Chrome Black tail pipes on both sides not only adds to the polished appearance but also adds more muscle to the engine performance. The interior continues the refined design ethos and hints at the luxury drive experience with plush sports seats trimmed in one of six different colours of premium Leather, leather steering wheel, gear shift lever and model-specific door sills.
BMW X4 M40i is the latest model from BMW M, the automotive specialist’s sporty sub-brand, which will see an array of derivatives hit the showroom this month, including the M2 Coupé, X4 40iM and the M4 GTS as well as new Competition Packages for those looking to sharpen the sporty personality of the BMW M3 and M4.
