RENAULT has appointed Marwan Haidamous to the role of Managing Director, Renault Middle East, effective from 1st August 2016.

Marwan Haidamous succeeds Hakim Boutehra who held the Managing Director position for over three years. Hakim Boutehra is promoted CEO of Renault Commercial Romania.

As the Managing Director at Renault Middle East, Marwan Haidamous will manage the Renault activities across the Region. The territory spans over GCC countries, Levant, Egypt and Iraq.

Marwan Haidamous is 36 years old and started a successful career within the Renault group, 10 years ago. French-Lebanese, he graduated from the prestigious Sciences Po Paris and has a Master in Finance.

Over the past few years, he has had the opportunity to work with more than 30 countries and has spent most of his time traveling in the framework of his functions.

In 2006, he started his career as Financial Controller at the Division of International Operations for the North Africa Region.

In 2008, at age 27 he was appointed Renault Algeria CFO, taking charge of a key market within the Renault group. Algeria is in the Top 10 of Renault Global performance ranking.

In 2011, three years later, he took up the position of Renault Nissan CFO for the Adriatic Region which includes Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, and also Greece.

In 2015, as Managing Director he joined the Africa Region, which includes more than 35 countries with key Renault markets such as South Africa, Tunisia, Ivory Coast and Nigeria.

In August 2016, Marwan Haidamous took up the position of Renault Middle East Managing Director.

Behind the businessman, Marwan has the joy to be married and has two children. He is fond of automotive sports but also team sports, and practiced intensively basketball and water polo. Passionate about culture and languages, he is multilingual and speaks fluently Arabic, English, French and has some knowledge of Spanish and Finnish.
