“Traveling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller,” – Ibn Battuta once said. And it’s true. It can change people’s lives and more importantly, our perspective. Traveling is the only way to open up your mind and learn about things books can’t teach you. To wake up in an unknown town beginning to be explored, is one of the most thrilling joys in the world. Natural beauty tends to heighten your senses and magnify all human emotions. If you are ready for an unfamiliar excursion, read on.

Vienna

Best known as the city of music and romance. It is true. The dynamic city is the capital of Austria and lies in the country’s east on the Danube River. Vienna was home to some of the world’s greatest musicians and intellectuals- Mozart, Beethoven and Sigmund Freud. The landscapes are awe-inspiring; the city is also popular for Imperial palaces, including Schönbrunn. Visit the Museums Quartier district, with historic and contemporary buildings with works by Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele and other artists. The museum for modern art has a  permanent exhibition showcasing art of Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, Roy Liechtenstein and many more. Art plays a significant role even today and the youth is actively involved in developing the scene even further. Another great spot if you are looking for inspiration.

Jamaica

King of the Caribbean. Of course a few things are synonymous with this beauty, but the one that really stands out is Bob Marley. So by that definition, it spells love, music and peace. In recent times, Usain Bolt has earned a name for Jamaica and one that will remain to be a part of his history. Jamaica is a lavish pack of lush mountains filled with blue beaches, cascades, coral reefs, rainforests and mineral springs. Reggae was born here. Tourists mostly visit Doctor’s Cave Beach at Montego Bay, Ocho Rios, Negril, and Port Antonio. Kingston, Jamaica’s capital has museums, interesting restaurants and historic sites. But remember it is all about the vibe. No matter what day it is, you are bound to have a good one.

Mumbai

Yes, it is overcrowded and sure the traffic is atrocious. So? Mumbai is a city you will fall in love with. Especially, its people. Bollywood lives here too. The destination for every foodie, art aficionado, movie buff, music lovers, history romantics and culture enthusiasts, you name it. It is home to slums but also the most expensive restaurants and luxury hotels in the world. The energy is infectious and the nightlife is on a different level. Mumbai likes to live life big and is ready to embrace each one of you. Most popular spots include Gateway of India, Elaphanta caves, Kala Ghoda Art Precinct, Haji Ali, Linking Road, Colaba Causeway, Juhu and Marine Drive Chowpatty Beaches. If you are in town during a cricket match, don’t miss it. That’s where the passion lives.

Trabzon

This beautiful Turkish treasure is an eye-opener. Beautiful and endearing Trabzon is situated on the Black Sea coast of northeastern Turkey. The city is filled with natural treasures, verdant mountains, beautiful mosques and cascades. It is located on the historical Silk Road, where it is known to become the melting pot of religions, languages and culture for centuries. The food served at small local eateries is simply divine and beats posh restaurants in cosmopolitan cities. A great venue for families and couples too, the most popular spots here are Sumela Monastery, Uzungol Lake and waterfall, Calkoy Cave and Boztepe Hill among many more. Turkish Airlines offers routes from Saudi Arabia.

Berlin

Is a champion city. As Germany’s capital, it is the cultural hub and power house. Berlin was divided during the Cold War and dates back to the 13th century. It is championed for its music and art scene, architecture, such as Mies van der Rohe’s landmark Neue Nationalgalerie and of course its cuisine. The city is full of relics and reminders such as the Holocaust Memorial, Brandenburg Gate the Berlin, Hitler’s bunker and even has Berlin Wall’s graffitied remains. Some of the popular spots are Berlin´s Bazaar, the East Side Gallery-thanks to more than 100 artists from all over the world who turned it into an open-air gallery, Museum Island, Hackescher Höfe and many more. Berlin is also known for its academic brilliance and is home to top luxury brands and hotels.
