Cruising down Rodeo Drive, expect the expected - Hollywood, Beverly Hills, the high-end brands and of course Saudis.

Saudis in Los Angeles like to do things their own way. Not much changes in regard to their luxury needs, which makes it much easier to anticipate their needs.

Now if you’re from the Middle East, you are bound to have a few favorite hotels; Arabs are known for brand loyalty and even in the case of hotel luxury, this virtue remains the same.

Four Seasons at Beverly Hills — The Prime AddressOne of the most obvious choices therefore is the Four Seasons at Beverly Hills. Not just because of the Saudi association with the brand but also because luxury hotel enthusiasts lust for more than just a brand name, it is also the location.

And like a Four Seasons guest said, “Who doesn’t want to wake up to that Hollywood sign?”

So here we are, in the heart of Beverly Hills looking for that magic. Does it impress? Absolutely. The star-cast is enough. Countless Hollywood stars and musicians hit up the five-star hotel during shows and press related events in the city. So chances are you might pull up next to the biggest A-list celebrity in town or even a basketball player. But that is the norm here. Once you get in, you are ushered into a luxurious foyer where you meet some of the friendliest concierge team members in the world.

Checking in is hassle free and you are immediately taken to your room. Now this is when it gets interesting. The luxury hotel rooms in Los Angeles share less resemblance with any of those in the region. For anyone from the Middle East, things tend to look out of the ordinary. Even though it’s a suite, the size of the room itself and balconies also, fall short of our expectations. The basic amenities like a Nespresso machine are lacking. But to be fair, this is a common issue with many hotels, not just the Four Seasons.

The living room is much more comfortable to relax in, particularly because the TV actually faces the sofa, as opposed to a strenuous diagonal view of the TV in the main bedroom. Although other luxury features including the Bottega Veneta toiletries, lush linens and sophisticated furnishings stay true to the luxury aspect of the brand. You also have an iPad2 as an assistant concierge to help schedule spa or other reservations conveniently. The in-room dining service is impeccable, their club sandwich easily an international winner. The concierge team will help plan your day and the hotel’s luxury car service is always available to take you around for free as long as it is within a two-mile radius. So if you are looking for the hottest address in town, then this is it. It does not get better than this. But if you are looking for a long-term luxury home and an association with a hotel, then this fails to make a personal connection. It is definitely more attuned to the fast-life. A great venue for events and gatherings, make sure to add it to your list during your next trip to Los Angeles.
