More and more celebrities are wearing works by upcoming fashion designers to A-list events and premiers. Among the haute couture brigade on the red carpet, fashion icons and media are looking for  new names and upcoming international brands. As many fashionistas are coming to terms with diversity in fashion and embracing different ethnicities as part of their ensemble, many designers are encouraged by the trend to move past the local market and blossom internationally.

This week we have picked out six talented designers that have made a mark locally and overseas using their backgrounds to develop their signature style. Even though they come from different walks of life, they create regal and bold designs that make a statement. While some are extremely high fashion, others are celebrating progressive  bridal wear. Follow them on Instagram for new looks and regular updates.
