The Gift of Hajj and Umrah Charity Association is the first charitable association operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Affairs and specializes in the service of pilgrims.
During Ramadan young volunteers gather around the two Holy mosques and streets of Makkah and Madinah to lay out iftar meals and distribute them during Maghreb prayer.
More than three and a half million pilgrims benefit from the services of the association every year through twenty-one programs.
Half of the charity food is distributed during the Hajj season.
With more than 2,000 workers and volunteers on ground, the volunteers are trained to serve pilgrims annually.
It is the first charitable society to apply the concept of safe food suitable for pilgrims from different parts of the world.
