IS it romantic for a man to call his wife through a talk show to tell her sweet things live on air while others listen to them and the talk show host prods him to indulge in more romance?

Outsmarting society is disapproved of and ditching its fundamental principles is inappropriate. Entertainment that doesn’t match Saudi society’s true character cannot live up to the taste of listeners. Local Saudi Radio and the listeners in general are suffering from FM stations since those stations were born out of a misunderstanding of their broadcasting role. There’s a huge decline in the idea of transmitted words.
It has been marked with foolhardiness and screaming that some ignorant hosts practice to tickle the feelings of teenagers and increase rating.

Trying to attach the trait of rigidity to the Saudi husband by portraying him as non-romantic to the extent that he needs aid to express his love to his wife is an old game that some Arab hosts tried to play. But these tricks and intentions were revealed especially with the Saudi tweeters ranking No. 11 internationally among the most romantic Arabs in the virtual world.

The Radio and Television Commission succeeded in winning the ears of the Saudi listeners and commanded respect for its words and dignity in the face of the offensive host. If the announcement is true that there will be a ban to stop MIX FM station, then that’s a clear message that confirms that what happened angered society and it was the result of an individual act and effort due to a lack of experience and education. Perhaps this is a lesson to all offensive people we were cursed with in FM stations.

There’s a huge difference between crossing the boundaries of social decency while negating Islamic teachings and educating people through media outlets about the importance of treating their wives with kindness as an ethical practice in accordance to the teachings of our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).

Two years ago, I was battered with a sea of curses because I wrote that the Saudi husband is the best according to the testimony of the world’s women and the most romantic in comparison to the crimes and horrible things other men do to their women. I still insist — holding on to my opinion — till today that the Saudi husband, who implements Allah’s will and His prophet’s teachings and grants women their rights, is incomparable and the most romantic, and all women dream of him.

There are so many great examples among Saudi men in my country who have developed instinctive romance but not through talk shows.
