Where will racism take us?
Where will racism take us?

RACISM is discriminating against people because of their race or ethnicity. Racism is a global problem and has been so for many generations. However, it is worse when it takes place among people of the same religion or country.

Nevertheless, I would like to clarify that I am not justifying racism toward people of different religions or different countries. Furthermore, I consider racism dangerous because its results can be harmful and destructive. However, we can get rid of this problem when we analyze the reasons and try our best to change ourselves.
During childhood, a child’s main teachers are its parents. Children start copying their parents in lots of things that can be either positive or negative. There is a problem when parents unconsciously teach their children to be racist through their conduct. As a result, we find young children discriminating against each other. An example is the video that once went viral showing a young dark skinned Arab child complaining to her mother that no one wanted to play with her because of her skin color. I think this type of racism among young children is because of their parents.
The problem can get worse. If these young children grow up to be racists, then corruption will spread on earth. It will lead to major problems such as sectarianism. For example, we can see how sectarianism erupted in Iraq and ruined the entire country. As a matter of fact, this issue or the effects of racism in general can aggravate and cause a collapse in entire regions, such as the Middle East, not just in certain countries. For this reason, I strongly believe in the importance of getting to the root causes of racism as well as fighting it.
It is important to understand that our differences are what make us unique. As a matter of fact, accepting differences helps unite us. Consequently, we should learn from each other and become more tolerant despite where we come from or what we believe in. After all, we are all human beings and I believe we should understand this if we wish to develop a stable and cohesive nation.
