RIYADH – The suicide bomber who attacked a mosque in Al-Ahsa on Friday has been identified as Abdulrahman Abdullah Sulaiman Al-Tuwaijri, aged 22 and holding national identity card no. 1106061292.

He was previously detained on Dec. 9, 2012 (25/10/1434H) for being part of a gathering demanding the release of detainees, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported citing the security spokesman of the Ministry of Interior as saying.

The second suicide bomber was arrested and he is receiving treatment for some injuries. Full information on him will be announced soon, the ministry spokesman said.

Four Saudis were killed and 33 others, including three security men, were injured in the attacks. Of the injured, 19 have been released from hospital after receiving first aid. Fourteen civilians and the three security men are still receiving treatment.

The Ministry of Interior reiterated that the security authorities will continue to pursue whoever has any connection with this criminal act whether directly or indirectly.
