HAIL/MAKKAH — Two hospitals in Makkah and Hail were evacuated after fire broke out in their premises.

No casualties or injuries were recorded.

Hail Civil Defense spokesman Lt. Gen. Nafie Al-Harbi said the Civil Defense received reports of a fire in King Khalid Hospital on Saturday morning.
“The Civil Defense closed down the main roads leading to the hospital to prevent people from coming to the hospital.

“Patients and hospital staff were evacuated. There were no injuries or casualties,” said Al-Harbi. The fire was caused by batteries of electricity generators in the basement of the hospital.

Makkah Civil Defense spokesman Capt. Naif Al-Sharif said a fire broke out in a private hospital in Al-Aziziyah district on Friday evening. “The fire started in a room on the first floor of the building. The Civil Defense evacuated 22 patients,” said Al-Sharif.
