RIYADH — An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed Saudi Arabia’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist suicide bombing that targeted a wedding party in the state of Gaziantep in the Republic of Turkey on Saturday night.

The source reiterated the Kingdom’s full solidarity with Turkey and stressed that it stood by the sisterly Republic of Turkey in confronting terrorism.

The source offered condolences of the Kingdom to the families of the victims and Turkey’s government and people.

At least 50 people were killed when a suspected suicide bomber detonated his explosives among people dancing on the street at a wedding party in the Turkish city of Gaziantep, about 40 km (25 miles) from the Syrian border.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said it was likely that Daesh (so-called IS) militants carried out the late-night attack, the deadliest bombing this year in Turkey. — SPA
