Pakistan’s envoy visits PWS free medial camp

Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — Pakistan’s Ambassador Khan Hesham Bin Siddique visited the second free medical camp of Pakistan Welfare Society (PWS), a social and welfare organization formed by Pakistani expatriates living in the Western Province of Saudi Arabia along with Shehryar Akbar Khan Consul General Pakistan, consulate staff and many other prominent personalities from the professional and business circles at the Consulate General Pakistan premises. Dr. Khalil ur Rehman, PWS president, welcomed the guests and introduced the doctors to the ambassador, who also visited the clinics. Khan Hesham bin Siddique thanked the gathering as well as the PWS for its community welfare work. He talked about the brotherly relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. He urged the Pakistani community and professionals to follow and abide the rules and regulations of the Kingdom. Approximately 500 patients were seen and free treatment and medicines were given by team of 40 doctors, including consultants of different specialties led by Dr. Khalil-ur-Rehman. Some tests such as blood sugar, blood pressure ultrasound etc. were also carried out. Dr. Shakeel Bukhsh was the in charge of free Medical Camp, who built the infrastructure of the camp. Dr. Rabia Khatoon, in charge of PWS female wing, led the team in managing and checking female patients. Fahim Arshad, Imran Abbasi and Khalil Janjua led the volunteers teams on male side and Miss Noreen Ishaq on female side. Syed Shehabudin in-charge of registration ensured the smooth running of the patients registration process. Anwar Anjum and Sharif Zaman provided refreshments for guests and volunteers. With support of Anwer Anjum, Dr. Amjad Ubaid and Dr. Shamim effectively highlighted the different aspects of preventive medicine. Dr. Sanaullah also played a key role, in addition to pharmacy and laboratory staff. PWS arranged for the transportation of people who live in the outskirts of the city.
