TNTJ Riyadh holds mega blood donation camp

RIYADH — The Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamath (TNTJ) Riyadh Chapter organized their 67th Mega Blood Donation Camp for urgent blood needs conducted in coordination with King Fahd Medical City (KFMC). About 317 donors participated in donating blood and altogether they donated 268 units (around 120 liters) in this drive. KFMC lab team led by Mohammad Odeh provided full support to TNTJ volunteers. The Laboratory Director Saud Al Anazi and Chairman Dr. Ammar Al Sageer thanked TNTJ organizers for organizing such kind of noble work continuously. TNTJ Blood Donation campaign Coordinator Raisul Kamal said that, so far TNTJ has conducted 67 camps and TNTJ continues to be No. 1 organization for the last 13 years and hospital authorities has given more than 15 awards to TNTJ while praising the noble contribution. Further, he said by the grace of Almighty Allah, Riyadh TNTJ continues to be No. 1 in the voluntary blood donation campaign in the Gulf country. In recognition of the noble contribution, TNTJ has received a number of awards from the Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia, and Tamil Nadu government. Riyadh TNTJ Vice President Mubarak Ali said, “TNTJ organizes voluntary blood donation campaign also for the emergency requirements such as Umrah & Haj and to fulfill the blood needs in Saudi capital, So far our organization (Riyadh TNTJ) has been organized this calendar year (2017) more than 10 camps and 2,271 donors participated and altogether they have donated around 1,583 units (712.35 Ml). “Those camps were conducted according to the verse of Noble Qur’an Chapter 5 verse 32 “Whoever saves a life will be as if he has saved entire mankind” which will create social harmony and razes hatred against Muslims and Islam. Also it will develop Indian-Saudi diplomatic relations.”
