Supporters in KSA welcome Rahul Gandhi's election as leader of India's Congress party

JEDDAH — Indian expatriates in Jeddah greeted Rahul Gandhi on his election as the president of Indian National Congress and wished him all success. Syed Nasir Khursheed from Karnataka, chief coordinator AIOCC, congratulated Rahul Gandhi on becoming the new Congress president and wished well for the future of India's oldest political party. Mohammed Iqbal from Kerala, coordinator AIOCC and ex-chairman of Indian International School Jeddah Management Committee, congratulated Gandhi on becoming the party chief and said it was a proud moment for all of us and we can work with fully energized under a young captain and bring back the glory of Congress and its tri-color culture. KTA Muneer from Kerala, president of OICC Jeddah, said he was sure Rahul Gandhi would take the legacy of his forebears Nehru, Indira and Rajiv Gandhi ahead in the right direction and wished him for a fruitful tenure. AIOCC coordinator Surendra Pal Singh from Gujarat greeted Rahul on his elevation as INC president and said he was confident that the young leader would fulfill the aspirations and hopes of the people and restore the glory of secularism, socialism and federalism as enshrined in the country's constitution. Abdul Raheem from Kerala, AIOCC coordinator, said it was a historical moment for all of us and we are fortunate to work with him and surely Congress will attain greater heights under his leadership. Zakariya Biladi from Gujarat, coordinator AIOCC, said his best wishes were with Rahul Gandhi as he took charge as the president of Congress party. He hoped Rahul would continue to reflect the voice and aspirations of people under his able leadership. Qamar Saada from Karnataka congratulated Rahul Gandhi for taking the charge as national president of Indian National Congress. The party will certainly come back in force under his leadership we will work hard for its success, he said.
